Long Beach, Hollywood & Santa Monica

Memorial Day we spent the day w/ Uncle Mike, Aunt Flora, Emma and Sarah.  I was excited to see their new house, it was amazing, I loved it!  They were such fun hosts.  They took us all over, from Long Beach, Hollywood to Santa Monica.

The girls were so good w/ the boys, the boys loved them.

Uncle Mike was amazing w/ the boys.  He was such a big help too!  The boys couldn't get enough of him.

After visiting at their house for a little bit we headed off to an authentic Chinese Restaurant.  It was a lot of fun and most of the food tasted great.

After lunch we headed off to Hollywood.  We made a little stop to a tiny bakery who specialized in puffs, the boys got ice cream filled buffs and we got chocolate eclairs.

We then got to see the Hollywood sign from the mall we were walking around (which also has the Kodak theater in it).

I never realized that all the foot/hand prints were in a courtyard outside of the Chinese Theater, I always thought it was apart of the sidewalk like all of the "stars."

Harry Potter and Twilight.

We visited the Disney Store.

On our way to Santa Monica we drove through Beverly Hills and some pretty famous homes, including the Playboy Mansion.

Walking the strip of the outdoor mall in Santa Monica.  Isn't Flora adorable?

We walked the Santa Monica Pier and stopped to take a picture at Bubba Gump's Shrimp Co.

We reached the end of the pier just as the sun was setting.  Cade made this face b/c he did not want to pose for a picture.

Connor thought it was so funny he wanted to take a silly picture too.  Altough you can't tell, Connor was standing far from the edge of the pier b/c he was afraid he was going to fall off.

We ended at the beach.  This go-a-round Connor actually really enjoyed the water and had a great time running from the waves w/ Cade, Sarah and Emma.

We all realized we were starving so we stopped at Fat Burger for dinner where Uncle Mike decided to try the XXX Challenge (I think it was something like 24 oz).

And Uncle Mike conquered!  We then headed back to his place and then said our goodbyes and drove late into the night back to Camarillo.  We had such a good time w/ Uncle Mike and the fam!  I can't believe all that they were able to fit into one day.  Thanks for showing me so much of California for the first time, we loved it, and we love ya'll!
