I'm home...for now

I just got back last night from visiting my family in TN for 8 days. It was so great to be there and spend time w/ them. It was so hard to leave everyone and know that I am not going to get to visit as often once I have my 2nd baby. Besides Cameron being at home waiting for us, the only other thing that made it bearable for me to come back home to UT was the fact that we get to go on a week long vacation to Arizona. I am so excited! We are leaving tomorrow, it will be a long drive, but it will be worth it. Anyways, I will post pictures from both trips sometime after I get back!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter yesterday. We decided to go to church with Cameron's family at 1:00 pm, instead of our own at 9:30 am. So, we were able to take our time in the morning getting ready and enjoy Easter morning. Cade woke up at like 7:40 or something, so I got up with him so Cameron could sleep in. He usually lets me sleep in on Saturdays, so it was his turn! Here are pictures from our big day. There are a lot, so enjoy!

Here is Cade waiting for Daddy to wake up in the morning.

Finally, after giving a bath to Cade and Cameron waking up, the boys finally got their Easter baskets.

Cade's basket (I decided to get them collapsible baskets this year, easier to store.)

Cameron's basket.

Cade playing with all of his goodies from the Easter Bunny. Cameron woke up right after I gave Cade a bath and I didn't want to wait any longer for them to open their baskets, so that's why Cade is just in his diaper :)

Cameron going through all his goodies, there was lots of candy at the bottom too.
Cade all dressed and ready for Easter Sunday. Don't you just love his Easter outfit, I thought it was so cute! This is what he looks like a lot lately, crawling with his tongue sticking out. I call him my little puppy.
After church my sister-in-law, Erin, took pictures of us outside at the Long's house. Here is one of the family pictures she took of us. It is so hard to get Cade to look at the camera, and even harder to get him to smile at it.

Here are some of my attempts to be a photographer :) Cade was very patient while I tried to figure out my camera. But, as you can see I could hardly get him to look right at the camera.

Cade's face looks so funny in this picture.

Cade with his cousins, Mason and Ellie at Papa and Grandma Long's house. This was the best picture I could get of everyone at least somewhat looking at the camera.

Just Because...

My last post I talked about how I was really frustrated w/ my plans being canceled because of my dead battery and no one around to help. I kind of got frustrated with Cameron because I didn't think he was being understanding enough I guess. He wanted me to search the whole house and I told him I didn't want to because I'm sure I would notice jumper cables hanging around the house. So he said he didn't feel too bad if I didn't want to search for them. Anyways, I wasn't very happy after that either. But anyways...Cade and I like to stand at the window sometimes when we know Daddy is coming home and wait for him. So, we were standing at the window and all of a sudden we see him walking up to the apartment and he was carrying a bouquet of flowers!! So I ran to the door and he handed them to me! I asked what they were for, and he said "Just because!" Just because!!! I've always wanted just because flowers! That brightened my day for sure. Isn't that sweet? I love Cameron. Thanks for brightening my day Cam.

Here they are before and after I put them in a vase.

I also made a yummy brinner (breakfast for dinner) that night consisting of stuffed french toast topped w/ mixed berries and whip cream, well Cameron didn't want whip cream so mine has it on it in the bottom picture. I also cut up fresh fruit of cantelope, apples and bananas for the side and sausage. It was such a yummy brinner! It also cheered me up! :) If you want the recipe it is on this website from a show I try to watch every day: http://www.abc4.com/content/about_4/gtu/recipes/story/Johnson-Mills-Stuffed-French-Toast/9znMiCf70Eiy45MAWymO2g.cspx. If you try it out then let me know what you think, I thought it was wonderful!

Camerons plate top, My plate bottom

Oh and p.s. that night we went and hung out w/ some friends and played rock band. Recently Cade has come to love music even more than he did before. He has started dancing!! haha So we were playing and we looked down on the ground where Cade was and he had found a rattle and he was was dancing and playing his rattle to the beat of the music! haha It was so cute!

When plans fall through...

I was soo looking forward to getting out of the house today. It's finally beautiful weather and I actually had some errands I needed to run. During Cade's nap I got all ready to go and waited, actually anticipating Cade to wake up. Finally he woke up just about the time I was about to eat my lunch. I got him all ready and we both ate. Finally, we were ready to leave. We went out to the car and it wouldn't start! ugh My battery was completely dead. I looked around and realized somehow I had left one of the upper lights on, I don't know when I ever use that...but it was left on. So, I looked in my trunk for my jumper cables, all ready to ask a neighbor to jump start me. They were nowhere to be found! I found the case for it, but no cables! I park under a long carport w/ several other cars. There's a car on either side of me so I decided to go and ask them for help. Neither of them answered! Both of their cars were there and I could hear them in their apts! I am soo frustrated! I didn't know what to do, so I got Cade out of the car and went upstairs to my friends apartment, she's also the Primary President (I'm 2nd counselor if ya didn't know). I knew her and and her husband would help, but they said they didn't have any jumper cables. She was willing to call her sister to borrow cables from, but she lives in Sandy, like 20 minutes away. I told her no, but she seemed really concerned and even offered to let me use their car. I felt bad doing that, and it's a pretty nice car. So, again I said no. But, isn't that sweet. She even just called to check up on me :) Anyways, so I'm stuck here at home and I have no idea where my jumper cables are! I'm just really frustrated. I hate when I look forward to something and it falls through. Sorry to vent, but this is my blog right? haha I'm free to share my feelings, no matter how negative haha. Oh well, I guess I have Cade's second nap to look forward to now....maybe a walk?

Cade Scooting

I promised I would put an updated video of Cade scooting, instead of just rolling around. So, here it is! He's chasing after a ball on a string, haha. We are over at Cameron's parent's house. He has actually gotten even better since this video was made. He does something more like the worm now, which is so funny to watch! He can't seem to get his arms and legs moving at the same time to actually crawl. Probably anytime now though, he's getting pretty close!
