The rest of August

We had my cousin Robby and Kelsey stay w/ us a couple of times, which the boys, and I, loved!

Cameron surprised the boys w/ their very own sleeping bags.  Cade wouldn't let me take a picture of him.

We took advantage of one of the $2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point and went with my friend Kychelle and kids to the Children's Gardens.

A cute bath picture.

Documenting Connor and friend Brooklyn's adventures in babysitting.  Good thing it's just Nutella.

Watching Mason, Cassidy and Ellie.  We are so excited that they live so much closer now and we get to see them more often!

Playing a few games at our Stake's Birthday party.

Happy 7th Anniversary!!

We celebrated our 7th year Anniversary August 20th.  7 years!  Wow, a lot happens in 7 years doesn't it?  Let's see, we have moved 7 times, bought our first home and have finally stayed somewhere longer than a few months or even a year.  We've almost been in our home for 3 years, coming up at the very end of September!! We have both graduated college and I taught Elementary School for 1 1/2 years.  Cameron has just started his 2nd job, this month, since college. He's loving it. We have had 3 little guys and are having our 3rd lil' guy at the end of November.  I'm sure I could go on and on, but that's a good start.

We ended up choosing to celebrate at Red Lobster and take advantage of the Shrimp Fest going on.  It was delicious!  We then headed to the movies to watch Batman, which I thought was a great movie.  It was Cameron's 2nd time seeing the movie, so obvisously he liked it.  We then headed home where we had left our boys in the good hands of Geoff and Erin who so graceously offered to watch them and put them to bed for us.  Thanks ya'll!  Ya'll are wonderful.

The beautiful flowers and matching card from Cameron.

This man is so good to me and the kids, I definitly made a right choice in choosing him 7 years ago. I love you!  Happy 7 years!

Frames

Remember these frames I made back in Feb. 2011?

Well I finally finished painting them!

I decided to paint this one orange to go along w/ the painting my mother-in-law, Nancy, painted.

The huge wall so far. I plan on putting a few frames to the left of the painting...we'll see when I actually get around to doing so.

This one I placed on a wall in my kitchen, I think it looks great :)

I got several frames from Cameron's Grandma's house after her funeral. They were all boring, old and ugly. But...I thought why not use them as a project and paint them like so many ppl are doing now days. Here's how they turned out :) Oh, this is the boy's/guest bathroom. I finally got around to putting something on the walls! It was so plain in there.

I'm probably going to re-do the font in these pictures.

This frame came w/o glass so I thought it might make a cute shadow box, I decided to decorate an "L" for Long...I think it turned out cute. The boys like the trains.

These next 2 frames were the cheapest and fakest out of all of the wooden frames. I almost didn't bring them w/ me, but I'm so glad I did b/c they turned out the best in my opinion! The stain really made the texture in the frames stand out.

I went off of their shower curtain (I got probably about 2 years ago from Target) for the colors.

I have big plans for above the toilet ;) We'll see how long it takes me to get around to doing it.

Beginning of August

Friday, August 3rd, my good friend's, Janel, sister Janae had her wedding reception, so we made it a point to be there.  We don't get to see Janel and Derek very often so we were very excited to drive about an hr to see them.

I was especially excited to see G-ma and G-pa Hale.  They were like my adopted grandparents during College, I often wished they were/are my grandparents.  They are some of the greatest people you'd ever meet.

We didn't get to stay long at the reception b/c we had to rush to my birthday present of watching Wicked!!  Waiting just about a month to take advantage of my present was well worth it, I loved it!  The story like was so fun and cute, the actors were great and honestly it answered so many questions about The Wizard of Oz.  Thanks Cameron!  It was so fun, and I loved watching it w/ my best friend, you ;)

Making foiled dinners, the boys loved having their own mini dinners.

Thursday, Aug. 9th, Janel invited us to spend the day in Park City w/ her and her grandparents at their time share.  We had a ton of fun!  We went swimming...

played...um...what's this game called again?  I've always wondered how to play, and now I pretty much do :)

We went on a walk around town.  The boys loved Janel's girls, Brooklynn and Kate.

And after a yummy homemade dinner, the kiddos took a bath in the huge bathtub and we headed home.  It was a good day :)  The next day they came and stayed the night w/ us, which was so fun!  Thanks for the good times Janel and kiddos.
