TN Visit Part IV

I got to spend Mother's Day w/ my family this year, Sunday May 8th. It was so nice to spend the day w/ Momma.  She actually spoiled me :)  It was sad to be away from Cameron, b/c he totally spoils me on Mother's Day, but they made up for it ;)  I'm so sad though, I didn't get a picture of me and the boys together, or Me and Momma!  Sad!

I woke up to Cade giving me a cute card he colored.  Momma told me it was his idea to color a dinosaur picture out of a coloring book for me.

My younger siblings made us breakfast!  It would've been breakfast in bed but I got up before they brought it.

Even little Connor made me a card.  He had every intention to give it to me, but when it came down to it, he decided he wanted to keep it.  I had to wait until he forgot about it and dropped it.  It was cute.  Momma wrote a nice message too.  Oh, Dallas, Seren and I went in together and got Momma a gift card to one of her favorite clothing stores, Dress Barn.  She was very excited ;)

Gammy gave the boys a huge lollipop.

Connor loved the bacon!

The next day we went to Spencer and Audrey's for FHE and a cookout.  The kids had a great time in their big backyard.  They went through tons of bubbles during our trip.

Little Kayleen.

I gave Hannah my camera so she could document the evening.

Cade and Owen were the best of buds the whole time!

I love this picture of Hallie!

Cade decided to paint his toe nail a few days prior to this.

Thursday was Seren's last day with us.  She left to visit her b/f so we went to Steak n' Shake to see her off, yum!!

Cade loved the caramel he got to dip his apples in.  After he ran out of apples he decided to drink the rest of caramel, silly kid.

TN Visit Part III

Friday, May 6th, we took a little trip to visit BJ and Pop (my momma's parents).  They own a lot of land in Crossville, a little Podunk town in the middle of nowhere.  For a while they were living in 2 luxurious sheds that Pop put together, complete with a kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms.  But, recently Pop completed the huge project of building their nice new home.  (They also have their original home near Chattanooga that he built.)  So, I'm going to take you on a little tour of his masterpiece.

I'm so mad, but this is the closest to the outside look of the house you're going to get b/c I forgot to take a picture.  But, look closely and you'll notice that it's a white house w/ orange trimming.  And, if any of you know  BJ, then you know how much she loves the Vols, so just remember that.

This is the guest bathroom on the main floor.  Pop totally built the cabinets and medicine cabinet!  I love them!

Their kitchen.  Apparently BJ's favorite part of the house is the vinyl lining the walls. (Aren't you just loving all the white and orange?)

I looked out the window and couldn't resist taking a picture of this cute view outside.  (Oh, in the background are the sheds I was talking about earlier.)

They refinished this cute little bedroom furniture in orange and white.  This was BJ's furniture when she was a little girl, and I believe she said that Momma used it when she was little too.  I think it's adorable!

BJ decided to decorate her bedroom in Chicago Bears.

The view looking down the stairs.  Pop totally built this stair case all on his own!  And you see that table down at the bottom?  He built that too!  I am always so impressed w/ what he can do w/ his hands.

A closer view of the staircase.  Isn't it gorgeous?  He explained a lot of the little details about how he built these, it's really amazing!

A built in shrine for all the Vols memorabilia.

The walkway between the kitchen and dining/living area. (Take note of the little room furthest away in this picture.)

Ok, back in the bathroom, I just had to take a picture of the tile work.  Pop did all the tile work himself, it was amazingly straight.  And do you notice what color the grout is?  Yes!  Orange!!  Well, BJ said it's Cinnamon, the closest to orange they could get.  So, all the tile work in their house, floors and showers, are done in white and orange!  So cool.

Remember that little room I told you to take note on?  Well this is the floor in that room.  This wood floor was done totally by hand.  Pop had the tree, had the tree cut into boards and then turned it into this beautiful wood floor!  Amazing!

The living area.  All the rest of the wood floors were put in by Pop, but weren't handmade by him.  Aren't you just loving the orange recliner?

After the tour Pop decided to take us for a little ride around the property.  Connor did not want to go at all!  He was terrified, but after a few minutes he warmed up to the idea and loved it.  Cade and Owen were silent the whole trip, they loved every minute of it!  We had a great time.

TN Visit Part II

That next day after we got back from Atlanta, we celebrated my daddy's 51st birthday.  (It was actually on April 21st, but I got to celebrate it w/ them May 1st.)

Due to all the storms we got some really nice mud puddles in the driveway.  I looked outside and found this! These were the first puddles ever that my kids played in.  They had a  blast!  I had just gotten Connor dressed....

So after much begging him to stay out of the water I gave in and stripped him down.

I was trying to take a picture of the boys, and I got one of them in action!  Owen decided out of no where to pour water over Connor's head, haha it was so funny!

The after math.

All washed up and dressed again, Connor decided he wanted to hold little Kayleen.

The kids loved to sit in this chair.

Cade had just been laying his head on Owen here, sadly I missed it.

And, Connor decided he wanted to join in.

Uncle Hunter, the boys loved him!  He let them beat up on him and wrestle around, they loved every minute.

Yeah, I think I could be a biker chick!  All I need is a little bit of leather ;)

Both Spencer and Dallas got new cruisers and took me for some fun rides.  Spencer took me all around town, it seemed, it was so fun!

Dallas took me up and down the street.  Their bikes were really nice.  Cade only posed for a picture, but didn't want to go anywhere on the bike.  Connor was terrified of the bikes and would literally shake like crazy when he heard them.  So, needless to say, he wouldn't go near them.

Bonny was already going to be there a week but, decided to stay 2. Chad, her hubby, had to go to TN to teach lifeguard/CPR classes 3 weekends in a row, so it worked out perfect that she got to stay most the time I was there!  I had so much fun w/ her!  Thanks for staying so long for me Bonny, love you!

Me w/ my cute little sister Hannah.

This trip was the first time I got to meet little Knox.  He was so fun to kiss and cuddle w/.
